Couch Fu

A kung-fu master, long plagued by an evil demon couch, challenges his adversary in combat to avenge the death of his father. Striking stunts, purposefully poor dubbing, and guerrilla kung-fu at its best — three and a half minutes of low-budget mayhem that walked off with the audience vote at the 2005 Chicago “Really” Short Film Festival.

The Positive Aspect of Negative Thinking

A document of a large-scale public sculpture built from everyday materials and exhibited on the University of Illinois quadrangle for ARTGP 305 — a course on public art as a medium of creative expression. Shot on miniDV in the spring of 2002, the film captures the public exhibition as it happened: the people, the place, and the perspective.
